Dr Marlies does case comments when the pet's normal vet needs help getting to the bottom of the current problem but for some reason she can't meet the patient and the owner in person. There could be cost concerns, concerns about the safety of travel or issues with owners getting off work. The vet sends as much information as (s)he has about the problem - eg case records, blood test results, x-rays, cytology, urine analysis results. Dr Marlies collates the available information, offers an opinion on radiographs / cytology and indicates what further testing makes sense if the answer is not clear from available information. She answers specific questions the primary vet has and may indicate treatment options if relevant. The report and the invoice go to the referring vet
