Service Description

Prior to a consultation we will have contacted the referring vets for the patient's medical history and existing test results. During the consultation Dr Marlies takes a detailed history which allows her to rank possible causes of the problem, decide on the tests that may be necessary and identify any concurrent problems unrelated to the main issue that may nevertheless affect treatment / management choices. Then she examines your pet to refine this plan and look for further clues. After the consultation we will either immediately proceed with further tests to narrow down the issue or provide both the owner and the referring vet a report detailing options. Generation of such a report may involve extensive literature searches because the cases we see are the weird, unusual or very rare ones
